Vintage Designer Handbags

New showcase dealer Susie Nelson of Modes and More has recently come on board at Grays with her exquisite collection of high quality designer and rare handbags and purses.

The hand selected Modes and More range includes bags from the 1920s up to the 1990s and designer names such as Chanel, Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Halston plus more. As well as bags and purses, in their Pimlico showroom or on their website (details below) you can also see their collection of vintage couture clothing and accessories from around the world.

A 1940s Abalone shell minaudiere by Evans.The bag has a gold tone snake handle and is in excellent condition. £245

A chic bag by Lederer covered with a wonderful assortment of dogs. The bag has a flapover front and fold over clasp. There is a matching pair of gloves, with dog covered cuffs.  £190

A woven wool, paisley design shoulder bag by Artbag of New York, from the 1970s. The bag has a gold tone shoulder strap. £190

Bright red crocodile handbag from the 1970s. The bag is lined in burgundy leather and the strap can be tucked inside (bag used as a clutch bag) or used as a shoulder bag with the strap which has length settings. £220
