Art Nouveau Furniture

One of the many well established dealers here at Grays is Gorringe Antiques. They have been supplying fine art and antiques since 1982 and offer an extraordinary selection of Rene Lalique glass vases, Jugendstil objects, Art Nouveau and Art Deco items, vintage crocodile bags and various arts and crafts.

They regularly update their stock with wonderful items including this beautiful Art Nouveau mahogany display cabinet and Art Nouveau chair attributed to Wylie and Lochead, Glasgow, circa 1890. Both items are inlaid with coloured fruitwoods and have silver plated panels depicting Art Nouveau ladies with long flowing hair.

Another beautiful Art Nouveau piece is this rare Emile Galle tray. It has fantastic marquetry work and it is decorated with ruins in a mountain landscape. The tray has two owl handles.

This is another rare Emile Galle Art Nouveau two tier occasional butterfly table. The marquetry is made from a combination of rosewood, walnut and fruitwoods.
