Equatorial Holidays

This summer, while many are coming to London for the Olympics, many Londoners are venturing to warmer climes down South and far East.  If you're caught between the two, just come to Grays and see a beautiful array of items from ancient Africa, Asia, and the Americas.  We have a number of dealers who are specialists in these antiquities, so pop over to Grays and go on a mini historic holiday!

Another year has passed by and at Grays we will celebrate tonight by getting merry regardless of the temperamental weather. We chose to adhere to the tradition from Sweden of picking seven flowers to put under your pillow to ignite the dreams to reveal your true love. Should you not be able to get the flowers you need, we got a lovely selection of everlasting flowers at Grays to keep as memories of this special weekend:

Asian Art at Grays

We are very pleased to welcome new Asian art dealers Duchange & Riché to Grays Mews.  They have recently opened their first gallery in the UK, having been established in Brussels for many years.

Anne Duchange and Philippe Riché continue a family tradition that began in Paris in 1965 with Anne’s father.  Anne now shares her enthusiasm and expertise with her husband, Philippe, who is a member of the Oriental Ceramic Society.

Specialising in fine Chinese porcelain and works of art from the 14th-19th Century, Duchange & Riché display an important collection of porcelain from China, Japan and the East India Company.  The Ming and Tsing dynasties are particularly well represented as well as objets d'art of Canton enamel, cloisonné enamels, lacquer, jade, ivory and bamboo works.  Many pieces are of museum quality, some of which have counterparts in the Musée des Pagodes at Laeken, or the Musée du Cinquantenaire.

Duchange & Riché join a number of recognised Asian art dealers at Grays.  Grays is one of the only places in London with such a rich and diverse collection of fine porcelain and Asian art dealers under one roof.  With the welcome addition of Duchange & Riché Grays is now a significant destination for serious collectors in London.
